Professional money management counseling and education.
Consumer Credit Counseling Service provides confidential budgeting, credit and debt counseling, and education to local communities since 1955. We are a 501(c) (3) non-profit and are members of the Better Business Bureau, the National Foundation for Credit Counseling and the Association of Independent Consumer Credit Counseling Agencies. We provide a wide variety of programs and services through in-person, telephone and internet sessions. Our core service, the comprehensive money management session, is free, and has been shown to have a positive effect on how people handle money.
CCCS does not provide a “one-size fits all service.” While we do offer a Debt Management Program for repaying debt, it isn’t always the only option. Certified counselor’s help you explore what is in your best interest. Our Debt Management Program for reducing debt is well established and works with all creditors who wish to participate, not just selected ones. We are a HUD approved housing counseling agency. We offer solutions for mortgage delinquency, foreclosure prevention, and reverse mortgage counseling. CCCS is approved by the U.S. Trustees to issue certificates evidencing completion of credit counseling and personal finance education with the Bankruptcy Code.
CCCS is accredited, much like a hospital or university, by an outside third-party -the Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services. We are committed to helping the residents of our communities reach their financial goals. Our Partners Program is community based and builds relationships with employers, financial institutions, and neighborhood organizations to bring financial education and counseling to local communities.
